This is a series of sound and video works based on typed cards found in my grandmother's recipe box. The cards, presumably created by my great-grandmother, contain many misspelled words, discount food products, and time-saving measures reflecting the level of education achieved by my grandmother and her mother and their socioeconomic class. Both women worked outside the home and encouraged all women to be educated and free.
